The Systems Security Lab

The Systems Security Lab (the SecLab) at FIU, headed by Amin Kharraz, is located in the Department of Computer Science at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, USA. An overaching theme of the reseach we conduct at SecLab is to enable evaluating implications of emerging technologies and their associated threats. We build data-driven research tools to rigorously analyze online threats and build research tools to discover them in a scalable and reliable manner.

Our research requires knowledge of fundamental areas in computer science such as software engineering, machine learning, computer networks, and operating systems. We are actively working on multiple security and privacy topics such as Web and browser security, evasive code analysis and detection.
